From the beginning, A-Frame Builders has been built on a simple principle: do things properly, without shortcuts — delivering high-quality workmanship, transparent communication, and fully compliant construction outcomes.
Foundations of Experience
Founder and Director Thulasi Haran began his construction career in 2009, establishing his first private limited construction company with a focus on clean, efficient, and well-managed residential projects.
In 2011, he went on to establish and lead several construction and development companies in Colombo, Sri Lanka, including:
- Mega Lanka Construction (Private) Limited
- Mega Lanka Developers (Private) Limited
- Confido Constructions (Pvt) Ltd
As Owner and CEO, he oversaw the successful delivery of a wide range of residential, commercial, and public-sector projects, including:
- Multi-storey apartment developments, including Mega Tower projects
- First and second apartment complexes
- Large residential housing schemes delivering over 120 homes
- Approximately 80 standalone residential houses
- Government and public-sector construction works
- NST Fuel Mart petrol stations delivered for private business owners
Between 2013 and 2015, he was involved in major infrastructure and specialised developments, including a government town development project, delivering coordinated works in full compliance with public-sector specifications and quality standards.
New Zealand Construction Experience
After relocating to New Zealand in 2017, Thulasi Haran continued his construction career within the local market. In 2018, he established HD Property Group Limited, specialising in residential renovations and light-commercial construction projects across Auckland.
Numerous projects were successfully completed, earning strong client satisfaction and positive feedback for workmanship, reliability, and professional delivery. This experience strengthened his in-depth understanding of New Zealand Building Code requirements, council consent processes, inspections, and compliance standards.
